Forest Care & Pizza Party: Waterway Rehabilitation Special Edition

Hey friends!

This month’s Forest Care & Pizza Party at Vale Ondula will be a special one! We’ll be rolling up our sleeves to kick off an exciting new project: rehabilitating the waterways across our land. This essential work will help us prepare for our Tree Planting Action on February 15th—you can find more details about that event here.

What’s the Plan?We’ll spend the day clearing and restoring water channels to support the health of our land and set the stage for planting new trees next month. It’s a wonderful opportunity to care for the forest, get your hands dirty, and connect with nature and community. No experience is needed—just bring your good energy, and we’ll figure it out together!

What to Bring:

• Sturdy shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting muddy

• Any tools you have handy (pruners, shovels, bush cutters, etc.)

• Something to munch on for lunch—we’ll do a casual potluck-style picnic!

  Dinner is on us with wood-fired pizza to celebrate the day’s work.

  
  

The Schedule: Saturday, February 1st

• 10:00 – 13:00: Morning work session focused on waterway rehabilitation

• 13:00 – 14:00: Potluck lunch—bring your favorite dish to share!

• 14:00 – 17:00: Afternoon session continuing the waterway restoration work

• 17:00 – 19:00: Pizza party by the fire to celebrate our progress!

  
  

We’d love to have you join us for this focused workday. Not only will we be caring for the land, but we’ll also be laying the groundwork for an exciting tree-planting event next month. It’s going to be a fun, rewarding day with great company and delicious pizza.
