Grow Your Own Healthy, Low Cost Nutrition With Sprouts & Microgreens
What if your kitchen could become a small food production system — one that costs almost nothing, takes minutes a day, and delivers some of the most nutrient-dense food you can grow?
Time & Location
02 May 2026, 10:00 – 17:00
Vale Ondula, Rua de Vilas 190, 4625-509 Sande, Portugal
About the event
In this one-day hands-on workshop, Ishi will guide you through the art and science of growing Sprouts and Microgreens at home. No garden needed. No special equipment. Just seeds, water, bowls, trays, and a little space on your kitchen shelves.
🌱 What you will learn
• The difference between Sprouts and Microgreens — and why both belong in your daily diet
• Which seed varieties work best, and where to source them locally and affordably
• How to set up a simple, continuous production cycle in your kitchen
• The specific vitamins, minerals, and enzymes found in each variety
• How to avoid the most common beginner mistakes
• How Sprouts and Microgreens complement what you already grow in your garden
🥗 Why Sprouts & Microgreens?
Sprouts are one of the most affordable and accessible superfoods on the planet. All you need are seeds, a bowl, and water. Microgreens go one step further — grown in flat trays with a little soil, they are harvested young and are packed with concentrated nutrients. Together, these two methods allow you to grow a steady supply of fresh, living food at home — every week of the year, regardless of the season.
Consumed daily, they can significantly increase the variety of vitamins, minerals, and enzymes in your diet, making them an excellent complement to meals or a wholesome between-meal snack.
🌿 What to expect on the day
The workshop blends short practical talks with hands-on exercises, so you leave with real experience — not just theory. You will practice the techniques yourself, and every participant goes home with a starter pack of seeds to begin sprouting that same day.
We will also share a potluck lunch together — please bring a dish to share!
